1. Set the budget and the buyer
Each list targets one price limit and one type of buyer. A product qualifies only if it is sold in India at or under that price by a major retailer when we publish or update the list.
2. Build a long list
We start from current models sold on Amazon.in, Flipkart and brand stores in India, and from coverage by established Indian technology publications.
3. Compare what matters
- Processor generation and performance class
- Memory and storage (for laptops we favour 16 GB RAM and SSD storage)
- Display resolution, panel type and brightness
- Battery life and charging speed
- Weight, build quality and ports
- Warranty and the after-sales service network in India
4. Check real-world feedback
We read verified owner reviews and independent expert reviews to catch problems that specifications miss, such as weak build quality, heating or poor service experiences.
5. Rank and explain
We rank the final picks and give each one a clear reason, pros and cons, and who should and should not buy it.
Keeping lists current
Prices in India change often, especially during sale events. We review our lists regularly, replace products that go out of stock or above budget, and show the last-updated date on every article.
